A meeting was held in the Ministry with the members of a team distinguished in XV Republic sport contests, composed of workers of the ministry’s enterprises and organizations being a member of “Zenit” sport society, established by the Republic Trade Union Committee of workers of the Defence Industry Ministry.

Chairman of the Trade Union of the Republic Committee Rofat Mufid-Zade who opened the ceremony communicated congratulations of the Minister of Defence Industry Yavar Jamalov to the members of the team.

Rofat Mufid-Zada informed that in the republic for the development of sport, physical training and promotion of good health of the members of the trade union the XV Republic sport contest of organizations - members of "Zenit" sport society was organized in 2012.

The teams composed of the workers of the Republic Trade Union Committee of workers of the Defence Industry Ministry gained worthy places. The workers of the Ministry of Defence Industry who took part in team and singles contests gained the following places: volley-ball, draughts, shooting – 1-st place; backgammon and rope pull – 2-nd place; chess – 3-rd place. In singles, load raise – 2 persons gained the 1-st place, 3 persons gained the 2-nd place and 1 person gained the 3-rd place; arm wrestling: 2 persons gained the 1-st place, 3 persons gained the 2-nd place and 3 persons gained the 3-rd place. As a result the team of the Ministry of Defence Industry gained the 2-nd place in the contest and was awarded with diplomas and a Cup of the Republic Committee of “Zenit” Sport Society.  

Rofat Mufid-Zada also stressed that since the first days of the Ministry’s operation   a great work is being done in the organization for provision of necessary environment to create a healthy life-style of its personnel and thanked the administration of the Ministry for it. 

At the end of the ceremony the persons who helped in organization of a team, trainings and contests have been awarded with money prizes.
