On October 14, 2020, the Minister of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan Madat Guliyev received the newly appointed Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan Wada Junichi.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan.

Madat Guliyev congratulated Ambassador Vada Junichi on his appointment and expressed confidence that he would contribute to the further development of relations between  two countries.

The Minister informed Ambassador in detail about the recent provocations of Armenia. He noted that Armenia has been targeting Azerbaijani civilians and infrastructure since the establishment of a humanitarian ceasefire.

The industrial facilities, settlements and the largest power plant of the South Caucasus, which are located in the city of Ganja and Mingachevir are under heavy artillery and rocket fire.The Ambassador was informed about the dead and wounded among the civilian population. Armenian attacks are resolutely preventing by the Army of Azerbaijan and the enemy is being adequately responded on the battlefield.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on cooperation in the frame of international organizations and other issues.
